SlipsTips’ Bet Builder Tips: Hearts to fire against Falkirk on Saturday night

SlipsTips shares a Bet Builder ahead of Falkirk’s clash with Hearts in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday night.

Falkirk vs Hearts (Saturday, 20:00)

Hearts will look to strengthen their grip at the top of the Scottish Premiership by putting another three points on the board at the expense of Falkirk on Saturday night.

After a wobble or two over the last month, Hearts returned to winning ways and reinforced their title credentials by defeating Celtic 2-1 in Glasgow last weekend.

Falkirk, on the other hand, suffered their first defeat in five matches when slumping to a 3-0 loss away to Hibernian last time out.

Hearts Double Chance

Hearts are an attractive price to take top honours on Saturday night, but I’ll opt for a touch of insurance by including the league leaders on the double chance.

While the capital club were stuttering before last week’s Celtic Park triumph, they have lost just one of their 16 Scottish Premiership matches this season. Moreover, last week’s victory will almost certainly have lifted morale in Hearts’ camp, not to mention they have the added incentive of knowing that a Falkirk Stadium victory would send them six points clear at the summit.

While Falkirk are no pushovers, they have won just two of their eight Scottish Premiership home games this season, which doesn’t bode well ahead of a visit from a Hearts team whose tails will be up.

Over 0.5 Hearts Goals

Hearts have hit the back of the net in 14 of their 16 Scottish Premiership home games this season, and they should be good for at least one goal when they face Falkirk on Saturday night.

Derek McInnes’ men have plundered a league-high 32 goals in this season’s Scottish Premiership, firing in two or more strikes in 11 of their 16 fixtures thus far.

As such, it’s difficult to envisage Falkirk being able to contain their table-topping guests on Saturday night. What’s more, the Bairns’ backline has been breached by seven of the eight sides to visit the Falkirk Stadium on top-flight duty this term.

Over 1.5 Falkirk Cards

For the final leg of the Bet Builder, I’ll back Falkirk to collect two or more cards during this contest. The Bairns have picked up an average of 2.23 yellow cards per game in the Scottish Premiership this season, amassing multiple bookings in each of their last five top-flight assignments.

Hearts, on the other hand, are drawing an average of 2.25 cards per 90 minutes from their Scottish Premiership opponents this season, with seven of the eight clubs that have played host to the league leaders having at least two names taken by the match official.

Recommended Bet

  • Hearts Double Chance
  • Over 0.5 Hearts Goals
  • Over 1.5 Falkirk Cards
  • Bet Builder – 4/5 (William Hill)
