Kiosk Kev and Ruby Wax finally sat down together away from the jungle

I’m a Celebrity’s Kiosk Kev faced an unexpected heartbreak as Ruby Wax rejected him during their first date.
72-year-old Ruby Wax may have been a fan favourite during her time on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, but her time came to an end after she was the fifth celebrity to be voted out.
During her time in the jungle, Ruby developed a crush on Kiosk Kev, whose real name is Mark Herlaar. But it appears their relationship came to an end after he banned her from entering the Jungle Arms.
As she held up a framed photo of him, she quipped: “He threw a lot of cockroaches at me and didn’t let me in the Jungle Arms, so Kev is dead to me, Kev is finished.”
Ruby’s husband, Ed Bye, spoke to This Morning about her crush and said: “Given the opportunity, I’d go and have a word with Kev about all this, but the fact he doesn’t say anything would make it rather pointless.”
However, it appears their flame never fully burnt out as they reunited after Ruby finally escaped the ITV jungle following her exit. As she scrubbed up for a night of romance, she came face to face with her jungle crush.

Joining him for a drink, Ruby said: “Kev, you know that I’ve had feelings for you, ever since I saw the back of your neck throb in the ‘cockie car’. I went off you a little bit when you threw the cockroaches and ants on me. But I decided to forgive you.
“I’m so nervous! I just want to know a few things about you. Do you water ski? Have you ever been to Siberia? And do you have STD? OK, I’ll take that as a no. I’m so nervous. Kev, can I touch you? [they hold hands].”
Ruby then mouthed ‘I love you’ to Kev who winked back. However, Kiosk Kev soon faced rejection as she added: “This may break your heart; I will not dump Ed. But I love you.”

Before their date night, Ruby’s husband Ed was waiting for her on the bridge, Ruby joked she thought it was going to be Kiosk Kev but she was OK.
Talking to Ed she said: “This was one of the highest achievements in my life, the hardest, the most unpredictable, I hope they miss me because I’ll miss them. No-one was ever judging me. I’ve never had that with a group of people.”
Waiting for Ruby in her hotel room was a framed picture of Kiosk Kev, she was overjoyed. Ed jokingly put the picture in the bin.
