‘Song Sung Blue’ premiere: Kate Hudson & Hugh Jackman reveal their dream come true

Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman knew “Song Sung Blue” would be special!
At the New York premiere for the Neil Diamond cover band flick, “Song Sung Blue,” we caught up with the stars of the film, who are so beyond proud of how the film turned out.
“To make you feel the power of music, to allow music, to watch people fall in love through music, is a really difficult thing to pull off,” Hudson says.Jackman doubles down on Hudson’s words, adding, “The script was so moving!”
The mom of three also felt so inspired by her role in the film, “You know, there’s movies that inspire you to wanna be an actress and when you’re younger and you see them, and you’re like, ‘I wanna do that. I wish I could do that.’ That’s why []. When I saw it, I was like ‘Wait, I just did one,’ and I really felt that way. [] I did the kind of movie that would’ve inspired me when I was younger.”
When the duo was asked about the odds of there being a “Sweet Caroline” sing-a-long, Hudson laughed, saying, “With this one, you never know,” with Jackman adding, “I’d put some money on it.”
In the movie, Hudson and Jackman play Mike and Claire Sardina, the couple who performed as “Lightning & Thunder,” a Neil Diamond tribute band in the 1980s and ‘90s.
“Song Sung Blue” opens in theaters nationwide on Dec. 25.
