This week, supermarkets including Tesco, Aldi and Sainsbury’s have been compelled to remove certain items from their shelves due to a series of significant food recalls. A range of products, including some Christmas items, have been affected by “do not eat” warnings issued to customers.
The recalls have been triggered by the presence of undeclared ingredients in some products, which could pose a risk to individuals with allergies. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned that these affected items could present a serious ” health risk”.

Officials explained that the potential glass contamination resulted from an “anomaly on a bottling line”. Seven production batches have been identified as potentially affected, bearing the codes: 25374, 25375, 25381, 25382, 25435, 25442 and 25444.
