Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons looks forward to the opportunity to face the Denver Broncos in a matchup of highly touted defenses.
Christian Watson has suffered a chest injury during the third quarter of the Green Bay Packers’ game against the Denver Broncos while he was diving for a deep ball.
The ball was intercepted by Broncos’ All-Pro Patrick Surtain as both players went to the ground.
The Packers’ wide receiver was tended to be several members of the Packers’ medical team and head coach Matt LaFleur came on the field. Watson then went to the locker room.
Watson missed the first six games of the season as he recovered from a torn ACL he suffered in the finale game of the 2024 season on Jan. 5, 2025.
The fourth-year receiver, who has battled many injuries in his career, has been playing some of the best football of his career as the team’s No. 1 option in recent weeks.
He had five touchdown receptions in the last four games heading into the contest at Denver.

Watson is getting X-rays in the locker room for the chest injury, CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson reported.
The Packers initially said Watson was questionable to return before ruling him out.

Watson suffered the injury on the first play of the Packers’ second offensive drive of the second half. They held a 23-14 lead after their defense forced a three and out on the Broncos.
Love was looking for a big shot with his most explosive player. But Surtain cut in front of Watson and picked off the pass. Watson sustained the injury on the fall.
He immediately grabbed his shoulder and stayed down.

Watson had three catches for 29 yards before the injury. He has been the team’s leading receiver in each of the last two weeks.
In seven games, he had 25 catches for 452 yards and five touchdowns.
