SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – UPDATE 8:30 p.m.: Savannah Police have posted an updated photo of the person they are looking to identify.
The Savannah Police Department is looking to identify this man in connection with a Dec. 10th aggravated assault near W. Walburg St. and Whitaker St. He is not a suspect in the case. Savannah Police give Sunday update on acid attack investigation at Forsyth Park(savannah police)
On Sunday, around 4:00 p.m., the Savannah Police Department confirmed they have spoken with two potential witnesses after posting their photos on social media earlier in the day.
Police say the individuals were not suspects but were on the tennis courts at Forsyth Park on the night of the assault.
Police say they are still working to identify the driver or any passengers of a white SUV or crossover seen traveling on Whitaker Street around 8:15 p.m. on December 10, the day of the attack.

According to investigators, a man randomly poured chemicals on a woman before fleeing the area. The victim has been identified as Ashley Wasielewski.
Police say patrols have been increased in and around Forsyth Park following the incident.
Wasielewski is currently receiving specialized burn treatment, including skin grafts, at a hospital in Augusta.

Savannah police say the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact SPD’s Major Crime Unit at 912-651-6728, Crimestoppers at 912-234-2020, or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
So far, police have received a few tips, but are pleading with the public– no matter how small– to come forward with anything you may have seen.
