Vikings’ specialists channel barbershop singers for Pro Bowl push

Three members of the Minnesota Vikings are channeling their inner barbershop singer while making a push for Pro Bowl votes.
Kicker Will Reichard, long-snapper Andrew DePaola, and punter Ryan Wright posted a video on Friday. They did not wear their standard purple uniforms. Instead, they wore striped blazers and straw hats that one would normally see on members of a barbershop quartet.
The members of this group snapped their fingers in unison and made it appear that they would start to sing. However, they quickly changed their approach after realizing that they can’t sing.

“I can’t sing,” DePaola said. “But if there’s one thing I can do, it’s snap. Pro Bowl voting is ending soon, and we need your help.”
The members of this group then stated their name and sang their position titles. They closed out the video by snapping their fingers as the camera zoomed in.
Reaching the Pro Bowl is a goal for many players in the NFL, especially those out of Super Bowl contention. The specialists on the Minnesota Vikings are among this group.
The NFC North team has fallen out of playoff contention with a 5-8 record, and it now sits in fourth place in the division. They can’t deliver a miracle season, but the members of this special teams group can boost their respective resumes with a trip to the Pro Bowl.
Wright has punted 51 times this season. He leads the NFL with a 77-yard punt, and he has only had one touchback. He is 10th in the NFL with an average of 48.8 yards-per-punt and he is 19th with 37.3% of his punts landing inside the opposing 20-yard line.
Reichard is eighth in the NFL with a successful field goal percentage of 91.7%. He has made eight out of his attempted 10 field goals over 50 yards, and he has converted all 23 attempted extra points.
Reichard also made NFL history this season. He became the first kicker to make four field goals over 59 yards in the same season. His longest field goal was 62 yards.
