Josh Oliver start or sit: Week 15 fantasy football advice

Week 15 of the 2025 NFL season will continue on tonight with a battle of NFC Wild Card hopefuls as the Minnesota Vikings visit the Dallas Cowboys at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
The Vikings ended a four-game losing streak and kept their slim playoff hopes alive last Sunday, burying the Commanders in a 31-0 shutout victory. Tight end Josh Oliver was an unexpected focal point of that beatdown and we’ll see if he can carry that momentum over into tonight’s matchup.
Below, we’ll go over Oliver’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 15.
Fantasy Football analysis: Vikings TE Josh Oliver
Oliver played a huge role in the Vikings’ shutout win over the Commanders last Sunday, catching two passes for 24 yards with both of those receptions being touchdowns. It was an efficient day in the red zone for the veteran and a couple of things from his performance stood out, namely the fact that he was on the field for a season-high 63% of the offensive snaps.
Also, he and fellow tight end T.J. Hockenson were responsible for the team’s receiving touchdowns for the afternoon, all of them coming in the red zone. We’ll see if J.J. McCarthy continues to build a rapport with his tight end targets in tonight’s contest.
Sit. If this were earlier in the fantasy season, I’d say take a risk and start Oliver, especially in a matchup against a rather generous Cowboys defense. But this is the playoffs and you’d be putting your season in the hands of a tight end that only has 11 targets for the entire season. Unless you’re convinced of him dominating in the red zone for a second straight week, pass.
