Travellers in Manchester are facing delays and cancellations today, as a weather warning is in place in the area.
Dozens of flights have been delayed at Manchester Airport this morning (Monday, December 15) as heavy rain batters Greater Manchester.
Flights operated by British Airways, Ryanair, easyJet and more, to destinations across Europe including Copenhagen, Paris, and Malaga have been delayed due to the rain currently hitting Manchester.
The Met Office said a yellow weather warning for rain is in place until 11.59pm today.
Manchester Airport has confirmed today’s delays are due to the weather conditions and poor visibility.
The airport is also being affected by the closure of one of the runways due to repairs taking place on the taxiway.
