‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ actress Rachael Carpani dead ‘unexpectedly’ at 45

Australian actress Rachael Carpani has died. She was 45.
Carpani died following a chronic illness, her sister, Georgia, confirmed in an Instagram statement on Monday.
“It is with great sadness that Tony and Gael Carpani announce that their beautiful daughter, beloved Australian actress Rachael Carpani, unexpectedly but peacefully passed away after a long battle with chronic illness, in the early hours of Sunday 7th December,” the statement read.
“The funeral will be a private event, to be held on Friday 19th December with close family and friends.”

Australian actress Rachael Carpani died from a chronic illness, her family announced on December 15, 2025.
The caption concluded, “The family requests privacy at this very difficult time and will be making no further statements.”
According to Deadline, she was taken to a hospital in 2021 with abdominal pain and required surgery for an undisclosed illness.
The Post has reached out to CBS for comment.
Carpani appeared in “N.C.I.S: Los Angeles,” “The Rachels,” “The Glades” and “If There Be Thorns.” She also starred in Lifetime’s “Against the Wall” with Jason George and Marisa Ramirez.

She was perhaps best known, however, for her role as Jodi Fountain in the Australian series “McLeod’s Daughters,” which aired for eight seasons from 2001 to 2009.
One of the actor’s final Instagram posts was in honor of her mom’s birthday on Nov. 16.
“Happy Birthday to the heart and soul of our crazy awesome family. 🎈❤️❤️❤️ (classy way of saying we would implode without you !🤔😂),” she wrote at the time. “Love you to the moon & back mama.”
