Bournemouth star discussed as potential Manchester United signing for January 2026 window

The January transfer window is approaching and is now officially under a month away from starting.
For Manchester United, who currently sit eighth in the Premier League, the window could offer an opportunity to boost their squad numbers and quality in a bid to meet Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s aim of European football.
One player that has already been signed by the club is Charlie Hardy, who officially joined the club on Friday from Derby County.
Meanwhile, Cristian Orozco has formally signed for United ahead of January and was seen at Carrington for the first time, as exclusively revealed by CentreDevils.
As well as this, Carlos Baleba remains on the six-man midfield shortlist put together by the club of potential targets.
But, with Brighton and Hove Albion wanting a fee above £100 million for the midfielder, the deal looks unlikely to progress even if Baleba agreed personal terms with Manchester United in the summer.
Now, a new name has emerged on the list of players linked to Manchester United.
According to the Daily Mail, Tyler Adams was one of the names to be discussed by United as a potential signing ahead of the January window.
Adams, who plays for AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League, has appeared 14 times this season.
In this appearances, the American international has scored twice whilst assisting once.
As well as Tyler Adams, the Daily Mail have also confirmed that United held discussions about Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder João Gomes.
However, with no further links made between Adams and United, attention could turn towards other options such as Elliot Anderson and other targets where more solidified links are present.
But, attention could also turn towards the two sides to see if any future updates appear linking United and Adams together.
