Injuries have left the Pittsburgh Steelers tested on both sides of the ball, with the latest update on WR Calvin Austin III a concerning development ahead of Week 15’s Monday Night Football matchup.
Healthy just one day prior, Austin was limited in practice with a calf injury he picked up on Friday, far from ideal news for one of Pittsburgh’s most explosive wideouts.
Austin has seen his fair share of injuries throughout the first four years of his NFL career, missing his entire rookie season with a foot injury and most recently missing two games earlier in the season for a shoulder injury he suffered against the Minnesota Vikings in Dublin, Ireland.
Austin wasn’t the only Steeler to pick up a new setback on Friday’s injury report, as veteran DT Cameron Heyward was held out of practice with a knee issue, just three days out from Monday night’s matchup against the Dolphins.
