With 6:09 left in the first quarter of Monday’s game against the Houston Rockets, Tim Hardaway Jr. entered the game for Peyton Watson, who is now in the locker room with an injury to the lower back/hip area. There’s been no mention of how the injury occurred or the exact nature of it.

Prior to exiting, Watson contributed five points and a steal in six minutes of action.
Watson was filling in for the injured Aaron Gordon and his size, length and athleticism would be sorely missed if he does not return. Since entering the starting lineup 13 games ago, Watson has averaged 14.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.7 three-pointers, 0.7 steals and 1.2 blocks in 32.1 minutes per game.
Hardaway Jr. and Bruce Brown would see an uptick in playing time with Watson out.
