US Stocks Mixed Following Long-Awaited Jobs, Retail Data

US stocks fell on Tuesday as signs of a sluggish job market didn’t change the outlook for interest-rate cuts from the Federal Reserve.

The S&P 500 Index declined 0.4% at 12:30 p.m. in New York, putting the gauge on track for a third-straight session of declines, following the release of a delayed jobs report for November and October. The Nasdaq 100 Index is down 0.2%.
