Kellacher delight at seeing ICT reach full potential against Hamilton

Inverness Caledonian Thistle head coach Scott Kellacher was delighted with how clinical his side were against Hamilton Academical.
The Caley Jags recorded five shots on target against the Accies, but won 4-0 thanks to finishes from Mitchell Robertson, Chanka Zimba, Alfie Bavidge and Billy Mckay.
With results elsewhere going in ICT’s favour too, they now sit five points clear at the top of League One with a game in hand over their closest rivals.

In their last five home matches across all competitions, they have now also scored 16 goals without reply, and a 14th clean sheet of the campaign across their 27 total matches meant it was close to a perfect afternoon for Kellacher.
“I am absolutely delighted with the boys,” he said.
“What a shift they put in, with the way we played and the manner of the goals we scored. I know they’ve got that in them.
“All we demand is they work as hard as they can. They could not have worked any harder today. They all played their part and, overall, I was really pleased.
“It was nice to see us take our chances. Over the last few months, it has been frustrating at times in terms of not taking as many chances.
“We took our chances here against Queen of the South and it was really pleasing to see us take them again today.
“We got another clean sheet. Big Chanka defended from the front and that gives you a platform and the rest follow behind.”
Zimba was withdrawn as as precautionary measure at half time with a slight strain in his quadricep, but he had already helped set the tone for Inverness alongside Mitchell Robertson, who scored his second goal in as many matches.
Caley Thistle supporters will naturally be excited about what the future holds looking at the league table, and while Kellacher will be doing his best to keep a level head inside the club he is encouraging fans to be optimistic.
“You want fans to get excited and them to come on the journey,” he added.
“There’s no point to come to games if you can’t get excited.
“The fans can think that and we want to keep putting smiles on their faces, then we will be happy.
“In that dressing room though, we won’t get carried away.”
