Calgary police officer shoots man at NW CTrain station

Alberta’s police watchdog is investigating after a police officer shot and seriously injured one man at a northwest Calgary LRT station.
The Calgary Police Service says the shooting happened at 11:30 a.m. at the Dalhousie Train Station.
There were no other injuries to officers or bystanders, according to police.
Police chief Katie McLellan confirmed the Alberta Serious Injury Response Team (ASIRT) is taking over the investigation.
Dalhousie Station remains closed for the time being.

Trains can still pass through the station without stopping. However, riders who’s destination is Dalhousie need to catch a shuttle bus from Crowfoot or Brentwood stations.
Riders are asked to catch the shuttle bus from the bus loop at Crowfoot and Brentwood. At Dalhousie Station, riders should catch the bus on Dalhousie Drive NW.
