Coronation Street fans fear Todd Grimshaw could be set to get killed off in a heartbreaking murder twist.
Earlier this year, Todd struck up a romance with newcomer Theo Silverton (James Cartwright). However, in recent months, the storyline has taken a grim turn as the soap delves into domestic abuse within a same-sex relationship.
The abuse has even escalated to physical violence on several occasions too with a terrified Todd resorting to hidden surveillance equipment in their flat to document his partner’s actions.
This week though, the soap aired a special episode that was presented through various recording devices including Todd’s secret camera, CCTV footage, dashcam recordings, video doorbell captures and police body-worn cameras.

During the harrowing instalment, things escalated between Todd and Theo when Todd tried to defend himself by shoving Theo, who ended up crashing into a coffee table and lying motionless.
The police showed up and Todd was taken to the station while Theo was rushed to hospital. Despite the circumstances, Todd chose to keep quiet about the truth, insisting it was just an accident, while Theo was treated as the victim in a shocking twist. The police even handed him leaflets on domestic violence.
A special episode was aired this week
Later on things took a darker turn when Theo stumbled upon the surveillance equipment Todd had installed. And in Tuesday’s episode (December 16) Theo continued to manipulate and gaslight Todd, despite the latter insisting he wanted to leave him.
The pair were visited by George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) and Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) to talk about last night’s incident, but Theo made it out like their fight was purely accidental, which Todd agreed with. Theo then reached a new low when he edited the footage of their fight, making it look like it was all Todd’s fault.
Fans have predicted Todd’s death
Now, with Theo’s reign of terror likely to continue, fans can’t help but think it will lead to Todd’s heartbreaking death. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person said: “Theo’s going to kill Todd isn’t he?”
Someone else chimed in: “I thought that, like Chantelle in EastEnders.” A third then wrote: “Oh not Todd! I’ll be so devastated if he kills him.” Another then penned: “You don’t know where they could take the storyline. It’s possible.”
