Reba McEntire’s banana pudding is a family recipe
When the Christmas holiday rolls around, you can bet the McEntires are peeling bananas in preparation for the special day with The Voice Coach’s beloved banana pudding recipe. It’s a recipe that McEntire’s mother made every Christmas, thanks to it being her father’s favorite dessert. After learning the family recipe from her mother, McEntire eventually taught her daughter-in-law how to make the sweet treat, passing the banana through the generations.
“These days, my daughter-in-law, Marissa, makes banana pudding for all of us,” McEntire wrote in her hosting book, Not That Fancy. “Hers is every bit as good as Mama’s, and it always takes me back to Christmas on the ranch whenever I have it.”
During the December 15 episode of The Voice, McEntire shared that her banana pudding is a “family tradition” and you can also order it at her restaurant, Reba’s Place, in Atoka, Oklahoma. “I can’t wait to indulge!” the country star told the audience.

Carson Daly has the perfect cocktail for a holiday nightcap
As for the Daly residence, The Voice host and TODAY icon has a beverage that sounds like an absolutely must-try. Perfect for those who love a creamy holiday cocktail, Daly’s Brandy Alexanders are not only drool-inducing but a delicious pairing for any seasonal dessert. Daly grew up watching his mother prepare the drink around the holidays, but Daly previously shared with TODAY it’s an evergreen beverage that he serves year-round for any special occasion.
As if that wasn’t heartwarming enough, Daly revealed during The Voice Live Finale that the Brandy Alexanders were such a hit in his household that they inspired the name for Daly’s family dog growing up. “Oh, we drank this Brandy Alexander so much in our household we named our our family dog B Alexander, we called her Lexi for short,” Daly shared with the Coaches.
“For as long as I can remember, my mom was blending away during the holidays, creating her famous Brandy Alexander cocktails,” Daly also shared in a TODAY article. “It’s as much a family tradition as the jolly man himself.”
The best part about the Daly family concoction is that it’s so easy to make — all you need is a blender and a few delicious ingredients.
