Trump calls for ‘love and prayers’ for victims of Bondi Beach terror attack

“Let me take a moment to send love and prayers to an entire nation, to the people of Australia and especially all those affected by the horrific and antisemitic terrorist attack,” Trump said.

“That’s exactly what it was – antisemitic – that took place in Hanukkah celebrations in Sydney.

“What a terrible, terrible thing, we don’t learn.

“We’re joined in mourning all of those who were killed, and we’re praying for the swift recovery of the wounded; some are horrifically wounded.”

“It’s been a very, very brave person, actually, who went and attacked frontally, one of the shooters, and saved a lot of lives,” Trump said earlier this week.

“So very brave person who’s right now in the hospital, pretty seriously wounded.”

Major global cities around the world are increasing security in the wake of the terror attack.

The number of police is being bolstered on the streets, around synangogues and Hannukah events in many countries to ensure the Jewish community feels safe.
