After over two decades of playing the lottery, an Oshawa woman got her big win.
Alicia Chung is celebrating after winning $100,000 on a free play.
“When I scanned it and discovered I won big, I thought there was a glitch in the system,” she said. “I was beside myself!”
Chung plans to pay some bills and make investments for her future and her grandchildren.
“This is a nice way to go into 2026,” she beamed. “It’s still surreal. From the moment I found out I had a winning ticket, the anticipation just built. I never thought something like this would happen to me. One dollar can change your life.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Mike’s Convenience on Kingston Road in Pickering.
