Ventura Foods Recalls Thousands of Gallons of Salad Dressing

Ventura Foods LLC has recalled thousands of cases of salad dressings from retailers across the country like Costco and Publix.

Per an enforcement report from the Food and Drug Administration, the California-based company recalled a total of 3,556 cases due to the presence of “foreign objects.”

More specifically, the company discovered black plastic planting material in the granulated onion ingredient.

The recall was initiated on Nov. 6 and, on Dec. 4, classified as a Class II recall, which means the recalled product “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”
