Two arrested after BSO descends on Red Carpet Inn for domestic dispute in Macon

Two people have been arrested after a large police presence descended on a Macon hotel for reports of a domestic dispute.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were responding to the Red Carpet Inn along Riverside Drive in Macon for reports of a domestic dispute on Wednesday morning.

Officials from the sheriff’s office told WGXA that there were no injuries during the incident.

BSO said the investigation started Tuesday night, when the sheriff’s office got a report of a stolen car just after 7 p.m. The car was located at the Red Carpet Inn on Wednesday, and the first unit arrived at 8:37 a.m.

After an on-scene investigation, deputies determined that no car was stolen. Instead, the report was actually a domestic dispute.

BSO later told WGXA that two people were arrested during the incident, after its initial report of no arrests. We’re still waiting to hear about the identities of the two people who were arrested, along with the charges they are facing.
