FDA announces recall on salad dressings sold in 27 states, including Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (KOKH) — The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced a recall for thousands of gallons of salad dressings and condiments sold at popular grocery stores, including certain Hidden Valley-branded dressings.
The affected products may contain black plastic planting material that “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences,” according to the FDA.
Ventura Foods, LLC voluntarily issued the recall, which covers items distributed to delis, cafeterias, and grocery stores in 27 states, including Oklahoma.
Those who have purchased the product are advised not to eat it and to throw it out immediately or return it to the store where it was bought for a refund.
