Brittany Cartwright Shares Update on Divorce From Jax Taylor, Confirms She’s Single

Brittany Cartwright is opening up about where things stand with her divorce from Jax Taylor — and what’s next for her personally. While speaking on her podcast, the “The Valley” star revealed that her divorce is still not finalized, despite hopes it would be wrapped up by now. At the same time, Cartwright made it clear she’s embracing her single era and looking ahead with optimism.
Brittany Cartwright Says Divorce From Jax Taylor Is ‘Still Not Final’
During the Dec. 12 episode of her podcast, “When Reality Hits,” Cartwright confirmed that her divorce from Taylor remains unresolved.
“Still not final,” Cartwright shared. “Hopefully final within the month.”
The reality star admitted the process has taken longer than expected. “I mean, this has just been a process,” she said. “Oh my gosh, a lot of things I obviously can’t talk about yet, but just, I’m hoping, fingers crossed, that it will happen soon.”
Cartwright previously revealed at BravoCon 2025 that her divorce was originally expected to be finalized in October, but delays continued to push back the timeline.
“I am praying December,” she said during the event. “Things are happening with Jax. It was supposed to be October 15, and I was hoping for that, and it’s been pushed back. So December is — fingers crossed.”
Cartwright, who shares son Cruz with Taylor, has been candid about wanting closure before the end of the year as she focuses on co-parenting and moving forward.
‘The Valley’ Star Embraces Being Single and Opens Up About Dating
Despite the ongoing divorce, Cartwright says she’s currently single — and not upset about it.
“Your girl is still single,” she joked on “When Reality Hits.” “So let me know if you know anybody hot I should date.”
She echoed those comments during the “Peaks and The Valley” panel at BravoCon 2025 on Nov. 14. “I am single, so introduce me,” she told the crowd. “I love being single.”
Still, Cartwright admitted she’s open to finding love again under the right circumstances. “[I want] somebody who’s a family man, somebody who eventually would love Cruz,” she shared.
During the panel, Cartwright also addressed her brief fling with Brandon Hanson earlier this year. While the two were never official, she said she regretted how quickly things became public.
“Lord! It was, like, a short-lived thing,” she said. “It got more popular on the internet much quicker than it should have. So, I would not have went public with that.”
Cartwright clarified that Hanson was separated at the time and shut down speculation. “I’m not a home wrecker,” she added.
A source previously told People that Cartwright had “found comfort” in Hanson as they navigated similar life changes. “The two have found comfort in each other as they’ve been navigating their respective divorces and personal life changes,” the source said.
