Minnesota Timberwolves veteran Rudy Gobert welcomed his second child into the world recently.
He announced the birth of his new daughter on Instagram on Tuesday.
“Welcome princess,” he wrote in his post. “Dad will always be there for you.”
Gobert’s first child, a son, was born in May of 2024.
Gobert is now in his 13th NBA season and fourth with the Timberwolves. He’s enjoying a strong start to the season, putting up 11.5 points, 10.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. Minnesota is in sixth place in the Western Conference at 17-9.
Gobert, a four-time Defensive Player of the Year, is hoping to lead the Timberwolves to another good year after back-to-back Western Conference Finals appearances, but this time they’ll look to get over the hump and make the NBA Finals.
Gobert already had plenty to play for as he chases his first NBA championship, but with the birth of his daughter, the rest of the season will be even more special for him.
