Moale to join Storm for 2026

Melbourne Storm is pleased to confirm the signing of South Sydney prop Davvy Moale for season 2026.

Moale makes the move south from the Rabbitohs where he has spent the past five seasons after making his NRL debut in 2021. The Coogee Randwick junior has played 70 first-grade games since then and has also represented the Cook Islands at International level, most recently in November.

The addition of Moale will add depth and experience to Craig Bellamy’s forward pack for 2026 before the prop moves on to Manly in 2027.

Storm Director of Football Frank Ponissi said Moale would be a welcome addition to Storm’s forward pack next year.

“We’re really pleased to be bringing Davvy into our ranks for 2026. He is a powerful forward who will compliment our current group of forwards well,” Ponissi said.

“Davvy’s first-grade experience will be important to add after having a number of young forwards promoted from our Pathways system.”

“We’ve had success with short term deals in the past and know Davvy will apply himself in our system for the time he is here and be a real asset in 2026.”

Moale will join his new teammates in January when pre-season training resumes following the Christmas break.
