Jaguars sign WR Jakobi Meyers to three-year extension

The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly signing wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to a three-year contract extension.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to a three-year extension, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
This extension is worth $60 million and includes $40 million guaranteed.
The Jaguars acquired Meyers from the Las Vegas Raiders in a trade prior to this year’s deadline. Jacksonville traded away fourth and sixth-round picks in the 2026 NFL draft.
Meyers was set to be a free agent this upcoming offseason, but is now under contract with the Jaguars through the 2028 season.
Meyers has played only six games with the Jaguars this season, but his impact has been massive.
For a Jaguars’ wide receiver unit that struggled with drops through the first half of the season, Meyers provided added reliability in that regard for quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
He is also an excellent fit for Liam Coen’s offense with his ability to line up inside and out, along with his willingness to help in the run game and attack the middle and intermediate parts of the field.
With the Jaguars, Meyers has caught 27-of-37 passes for 355 yards with three touchdowns.
Among all wideouts since Week 10, Meyers is 12th in receiving yards and 10th in yards per route run, according to PFF.
Jaguars’ offensive coordinator Grant Udinski recently praised Meyers for his feel and understanding of the game, which has allowed him to play at a high level.
