Loose Women was interrupted on Wednesday (December 17) as a host made a sad “last day” announcement.

Today’s instalment of the beloved ITV programme was presented by Kaye Adams, alongside Mariella Frostrup, Olivia Attwood Dack and Nadia Sawalha as they discussed the day’s biggest talking points.

During the show, Kaye revealed that their producer, Eleanor Cotter, was departing after an impressive 11-year stint.

“I might have a little cry today because our cherished producer Elle, it’s her last day after 11 years. So, we’re going to say we love you, Elle,” Kaye announced.

Nadia responded: “We’re so sad,” reports the Mirror.

The emotional farewells come after ITV’s announcement of significant changes to its daytime line-up earlier this year, with Loose Women, Lorraine, This Morning and Good Morning Britain all impacted by the shake-up.

Starting in January 2026, these programmes will broadcast from fresh premises in central London and will follow a revised transmission timetable.

The revamp will result in Loose Women returning to its former slot of 12.30pm until 1.30pm on a “seasonal basis” for 30 weeks. The programme will also lose its live studio audience, meaning comedian Lee Peart, who has been the warm-up act since 2017, will no longer serve in this role.

The ITV alterations will also see Lorraine adopting a 30-week schedule with episodes airing from 9.30am until 10am, while This Morning will continue to broadcast from 10am until 12.30pm.

Good Morning Britain’s running time will be extended by 30 minutes per episode, airing from 6am until 9.30am. These episodes will be lengthened by an additional 30 minutes when Lorraine is not being broadcast.

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 12.30pm
