A Loose Women host made a “last day” announcement on Wednesday (December 17) which left their co-stars feeling “so sad”.

Today’s edition of the popular ITV show was hosted by Kaye Adams, and also featured Mariella Frostrup, Olivia Attwood Dack and Nadia Sawalha as they delved into the day’s top stories.

Later in the programme, Kaye announced that their producer, Eleanor Cotter, was leaving the show today after 11 years.

“I might have a little cry today because our cherished producer Elle, it’s her last day after 11 years. So, we’re going to say we love you, Elle,” Kaye said.

Nadia added: “We’re so sad.”

Later in the show, Kaye mentioned several other crew members who were leaving the show, including their floor manager Katie Keates.

“I mentioned our lovely Elle, our producer, just before the break there and it’s a few last days today in the studio, of course, because we’re moving studios,” the star explained.

“Katie, our lovely floor manager, who’s looked after us. We’ve known her since she was a girl. And lots of our crew actually as well, so thank you very much to all of you. They’re an amazing bunch of people, they really are.”

This comes after ITV announced a big change to its daytime programming earlier this year with Loose Women, Lorraine, This Morning and Good Morning Britain all affected by the decision.

From January 2026, the shows will be broadcast from a new location in central London and will operate on an updated airing schedule.

The shake-up will see Loose Women reverting to its previous slot of 12.30pm until 1.30pm on a 30-week “seasonal basis”.

The show will also be losing its live studio audience, meaning comedian Lee Peart will no longer be serving as the warm-up act, a role he has performed since 2017.

The ITV changes will also see Lorraine moving to a 30-week schedule with episodes running from 9.30am until 10am, while This Morning will continue to air from 10am until 12.30pm.

The running time for Good Morning Britain will be increased by 30 minutes for each episode, running from 6am until 9.30am. These episodes will be extended by a further 30 minutes when Lorraine isn’t on air.

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 12.30pm
