TV star Helen Skelton playfully abandoned the set following an awkward exchange whilst previewing what was in store on Morning Live.
During Friday’s edition of BBC Breakfast (December 19), the programme crossed over to Morning Live hosts Helen and Gethin Jones, who were set to reveal their upcoming segments.
Whilst discussing their day’s content, the duo touched upon Brussels sprouts and various methods of preparation. An amusing misunderstanding arose over the pronunciation of “raw”, with Helen seemingly believing Gethin thought they were using the word “roar”.
Once the confusion was cleared up, Helen theatrically departed the set in jest, leaving Gethin standing by himself looking bewildered.
The presenting duo had been informing audiences about their planned content, including a segment on the controversial christmas-dinner>Christmas dinner staple, reports Wales Online.

“It wouldn’t be Christmas without sprouts,” Helen remarked. “But with millions of haters out there, we are attempting to change some minds.”
“We’ll, keep banging this drum,” she continued. “It involves secret herbs, spices. We are going to elevate your sprouts. I believe you will be convinced.”
From the BBC Breakfast studio, presenter Naga Munchetty asked the pair: “Are you two not in the sprouts camp, then?”
Helen confirmed that they were both “sprout lovers,” though Gethin acknowledged that countless people weren’t fans of the vegetable.

“What about you?” he asked Naga. The telly favourite revealed her fondness for the festive veg, asking: “Have you tried raw sprouts? I tried my first sprout raw today.” She went on to describe the experience as “really nice”.
“Your sprout what?” Gethin responded, seemingly confused by Naga’s statement.
Helen then clarified the situation, demonstrating the difference between eating something raw and roaring. Upon understanding Helen’s point, Gethin let out a small roar, leaving her looking somewhat bemused.

“Bye!” she suddenly declared, humorously exiting the frame and leaving Gethin standing alone.
