Due to the severe weather forecast, Hanover School Division (HSD) has cancelled all Christmas Concerts scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 17.
Cancelled concerts include Elmdale School, Mitchell Elementary School, Niverville Elementary School and Steinbach Regional Secondary School.
HSD recognizes the work that both staff and students have put into preparing the concerts.
In addition, DFSM has cancelled the Ecole Saint Joachim’s Christmas Concert for this evening.
Currently, an orange and yellow weather warning is in effect.
Blizzard conditions are developing across southern Manitoba, with heavy snow, strong gusty winds, near-zero visibility and pockets of freezing rain throughout the evening.
Residents are encouraged to avoid travel and outdoor activities.
