Christine presented This Morning with Dermot O’Leary
Loose Women star Christine Lampard has admitted she was left feeling a bit “guilty” as she stepped in on This Morning.
The TV star has been helping Dermot O’Leary to co-host the ITV show this week after Emma Willis, who was supposed to be sharing the sofa with him, fell ill and wasn’t able to do it.
Christine was on hosting duty on the show on Wednesday (December 17) as chef Nisha Katona whipped up a butter bean and cranberry tikka masala during the cooking segment. And she confessed that she felt a bit guilty about tucking in as her Loose Women co-stars went hungry in the studio next door.
The star was enjoying the dish as This Morning cut to Loose Women’s Kaye Adams, who was telling viewers what was coming up on the programme.

She said: “When I am doing Loose Women, we are always jealous watching you cooking and we are sitting there going, ‘We want that.’ And here I am.”
Introducing Kaye, she said: “I know, I know, I’m sorry! I feel guilty, but I’m going to carry on!” Kaye told her to “enjoy” it.
“That is absolutely beautiful, it’s exactly what I wanted,” Christine said.

This Morning’s regular hosts are Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, who present the daytime favourite from Monday to Thursday, with Dermot and Alison Hammond taking over on Fridays. During holidays, they are usually replaced by a rotating roster of guest stars, including Christine, Rochelle Humes and Josie Gibson.

During Monday’s instalment of the ITV show (December 15), Dermot told viewers that Emma had to pull out.
“Full disclosure,” he said. “Emma Willis was supposed to be in this week. Emma is a little bit poorly. So we are sending her big love.”
Gesturing at Josie, he told viewers, “Look who is back with me. It’s only Miss Josephine Gibson!”
“Thanks for having me, Dermot,” she said.
