Red Deer opens warming centre at G.H. Dawe Community Centre

The City of Red Deer opened a warming centre at the G.H. Dawe Community Centre due to highway closures and poor road conditions.
“The warming centre is available for commuters and travellers who require a safe, warm place to wait out the storm conditions,” the City of Red Deer stated on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
The city is encouraging anyone impacted by the closures to make use of the space and to travel only when it is safe to do so.
