Updates on local, state and national News are detailed by the News10NBC Morning Team, along with traffic, sports and the weather forecast.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — As a cold front pushes strong winds through the Rochester region on Friday morning, we’re tracking property damage and power outages.

In Hilton, a tree fell onto a home and destroyed a fence on Sherwood Drive. News10NBC saw a Hilton Fire Department truck at the scene, working to clear the tree. People were inside the home, but no one was hurt. RG&E was called because power was still on in the home.

In addition, strong winds caused several utility poles to topple on Frisbee Road, Greece Police have confirmed. Crews responded to the downed wires and poles around 1:30 a.m. Fire officials say the wires weren’t live. By the time News10NBC arrived at the scene, the road was clear.

We’re also tracking over 1,000 outages across Monroe, Wayne, Livingston, Ontario, and Orleans counties. Monroe County has the most at around 600. You can see the latest outage numbers for RG&E customers here, NYSEG customers here, and National Grid customers here.

Wind gusts are expected to reach 40 to 45 miles per hour on Friday, especially in the afternoon and evening. First Alert Meteorologist Nate Morris tracked wind gusts live on News10NBC TODAY. See our latest forecast here and see Nate’s 6:30 a.m. report here:
