WATCH: Travis Scott releases sultry ‘PBT’ music video featuring Tyla and Vybz Kartel

Travis Scott has released a new music video for “PBT”, featuring South African artist Tyla and Jamaican legend Vybz Kartel.
The video premiered on Wednesday, December 17, and is directed by Nabil (often credited as Nabil Elderkin).
Filmed in Tokyo, it brings the song’s Afrobeats and dancehall influences to life, extending the global reach of Scott’s “JackBoys 2” project.
This collaboration marks the first time Scott and Kartel have worked together. For Scott and Tyla, it is their first collaboration in two years, following the 2023 remix of “Water”.
The track blends Afrobeats and dancehall rhythms, pairing Scott’s melodic style with Tyla’s breakout energy and Kartel’s veteran presence. It appears on “JackBoys 2”, the second project from Scott’s Cactus Jack collective.
The video opens across Tokyo’s skyline before moving into an intimate narrative. Scott and Tyla are shown in separate hotel rooms, preparing in isolation as memories of a previous encounter emerge.
The storyline gradually reconnects them, ending with a silent reunion and a shared walk through the city at night.
Kartel appears in the distance, his presence adding weight to the collaboration as the cityscape comes alive with celebration.
The Tokyo setting emphasises the track’s nocturnal tone, blending luxury, distance and desire into a cinematic frame.
Produced by BBYKOBE, “PBT” highlights the stylistic range of “JackBoys 2”. The album moves fluidly between hip hop, Afrobeats and dancehall without losing its core identity.
Scott takes a restrained, melodic approach, allowing Tyla to anchor the rhythm. Kartel’s verse adds historical depth, connecting contemporary global pop with dancehall’s legacy.
The album debuted at number one in the United States, marking Scott’s fifth project to top the Billboard 200.
“JackBoys 2” features a broad line-up of artists including Future, 21 Savage, Playboi Carti, Don Toliver, GloRilla, Sheck Wes, Kodak Black and Bun B.
Houston-born Scott remains one of modern hip hop’s most influential figures. His 2023 album “Utopia” was the highest-selling hip hop release of the year.
His “Circus Maximus Tour” broke attendance and revenue records, becoming the highest-grossing rap tour in history. He also became the first rapper to headline a sold-out show at LA’s SoFi Stadium.
Beyond music, Scott’s influence extends into fashion, film and philanthropy through the Cactus Jack Foundation.
