TELLY chef James Martin is getting married for the first time — to his personal trainer partner Kim Johnson.
The Saturday Kitchen star, 53, has previously insisted he would never get hitched, but proposed to the 39-year-old after nearly two years of dating.

James, who has shifted three stone this year, popped the question – and the car fanatic sealed the deal with a brand-new Land Rover Defender.

A source said: “James and Kim may have been dating for less than two years, but when you know, you know.
“Of course, it’s taken James decades to finally get there and friends do share a wry smile that he’s U-turned on his staunch refusal to ever marry.
“But everyone has seen the change in him since meeting Kim and he’s never been happier.
“They are a wonderful couple.”
James split from long-term partner Louise Davies after 12 years in December 2023, and before that dated Bond producer Barbara Broccoli.
Kim was married to Elizabeth Hurley’s ex-husband Arun Nayar, but they split in 2017.
She and James were spotted together for the first time in March last year as they shopped for watches at Tiffany in London’s Mayfair.
Their relationship then took a significant step that summer when they went on holiday together in France.
In October this year Kim moved into James’ country pad in Hampshire.
Sources say the chef splashed out on a top-of-the-range Land Rover Defender as an engagement gift.
It comes after he said in a 2019 interview: “Marriage doesn’t interest me in the slightest, mainly because I’ve catered for so many weddings, really.
“I admire people who do it, that’s fine, but I’m quite happy. I don’t need to spend £60,000 on a day, no, I’m more than happy, thanks.”
He has no kids, and instead calls his classic car collection his “babies”.
James said in 2020: “My mates come round to my house and they look into my garage and I go, ‘These are my babies, these are my things’.”
Last night his spokeswoman declined to respond to a request for comment.
