Juan Soto Sends Francisco Lindor Message Amid Rumors of Mets Clubhouse Beef

The New York Mets signed Juan Soto on the heels of a run to the National League Championship Series in 2024, but missed the postseason last season.
Soto signed a $765 million deal with the Mets, seemingly setting the team up for a World Series run. However, the Mets’ late-season collapse led to questions about what went wrong in Queens. The New York Post’s Mike Puma reported that Soto and superstar shortstop Francisco Lindor had a “chilly” relationship. Puma noted that the two have different personalities and did not quite get along.
Rumors of problems in the Mets clubhouse have fans concerned about the future of the team. Lindor and Soto are both under control for multiple years and have to coexist in a media market where everything is put under a microscope. However, Soto set the record straight during an interview with Luz García.
“Good, I get along very well with Lindor,” Soto said in Spanish when asked about his relationship with Lindor. “You know, he’s a great ball player and a tremendous person, and a happy person in the clubhouse among everything else.”
Soto’s comments should ease rumors about the clubhouse being a major problem moving forward for the Mets. Lindor and Soto are the two best players on the team and will now have to meet the lofty expectations of the team without the help of Pete Alonso, who left for the Baltimore Orioles.
Soto had a good first season with the Mets, but ultimately, he will have to help take the Mets to a World Series to justify the team’s spending $765 million on him.
