Tonight will see the long-awaited and heavily anticipated fight between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua take place. The YouTuber-turned-boxer will take on the two-time world heavyweight champion in a fight in Miami that will livestream on Netflix at 8 p.m. EST. And expected to be in attendance at the fight to support her fiancé is Jake Paul’s partner, Jutta Leerdam.
The pair met when Jake invited world speed skating champion Jutta onto his podcast, and the rest as they say is history. So who exactly is Jutta? And how long have the pair been together? Here’s everything you need to know about their relationship.
Who is Jutta Leerdam?
Jutta is a 26-year-old Dutch speed skater and world champion. Jutta began speed skating at 11 years old and has gone onto win a silver medal in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
Right now she is currently in training for the 2026 Winter Olympics which are being held in Italy. She has nearly 5 million followers on Instagram and just signed to become a Nike athlete.
How did Jake and Jutta meet?
Jake and Jutta met in 2023 when Jake slid into Jutta’s DMs to ask her to come onto his podcast. Jutta revealed she didn’t think much of it at the time during the documentary Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson, however after spending time with Jake she revealed she got to know the man behind his Internet persona.
“I never, ever expected to date him, like never,” she revealed. “Of course, I didn’t know a lot about him. I could only scroll on his Instagram and form an opinion like the whole world does. But he is the complete opposite.”
How long have Jake and Jutta been together?
Since that initial DM the pair have basically been together since 2023 and Jake hard-launched their relationship with a picture of the pair together and the caption, “I’m Dutch now.”
Jake lives in Puerto Rico and Jutta appears to travel a lot for her sport, however they still appear to make time for each other, often going on trips or surprising each other with visits.
When did Jake and Jutta get engaged?
Back in March, Jake proposed to Jutta while the pair were on a trip to St. Lucia.
The pair shared a joint Instagram post and Jake captioned the post, “We’re engaged💍🕊️🤍we can’t wait to spend forever together🥹.” Jake then surprised Jutta by flying her parents out to join them in the celebration.
So far there’s been no update on their wedding plans, but maybe a 2026 wedding is in the cards?
