NBA Fans Send Love To Timberwolves Star Rudy Gobert After Major Personal News

The Minnesota Timberwolves are coming off a 117-103 victory over the Sacramento Kings (on Sunday at home).

Rudy Gobert played 20 minutes before exiting due to personal reasons.

He finished with seven points, 12 rebounds, three assists and one block while shooting 3/4 from the field.

On Tuesday, Gobert announced the birth of his child (via Instagram).

Gobert wrote (translated to English): “Welcome princess ❤️ Dad will always be there for you. 🙏🏽🌹♾️”

Gobert is in his fourth season playing for the Timberwolves.

He is averaging 11.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.4 blocks per contest while shooting 74.5% from the field in 26 games.

The Timberwolves will play the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night at the Target Center.

They come into the matchup as the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 17-9 record in 26 games.

At home, the Timberwolves have gone 9-4 in 13 games.

Gobert was the 27th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.

He spent the first nine seasons of his career with the Utah Jazz.

The four-time Defensive Player of The Year has career averages of 12.6 points, 11.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 2.1 blocks per contest while shooting 65.8% from the field in 855 games.

Gobert has helped lead the Timberwolves to the Western Conference finals in back-to-back seasons.
