Why Millie Bobbie Brown and David Harbour Both Missed Stranger Things Event in NYC

No, you’re not in the Upside Down. Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour were recently absent from a Stranger Things event.

Despite originally being slated to attend the Paley Museum’s Stranger Things: The Final Season Celebration event in New York City Dec. 18, both stars pulled out before the rest of their cast—Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Maya Hawke, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Jamie Campbell Bower—appeared.

At the event, the panel’s moderator addressed the elephant in the room.

“Before we begin our conversation today, we just want to acknowledge that, clearly, the full ensemble could not be here tonight,” Collider’s Perri Nemiroff told the crowd, per People. “So, for all the ones who are not with us on stage, they send their regards and thanks for being here.”

As for why they weren’t in attendance? A Paley Museum spokesperson told People, “Unfortunately, due to a recent injury, Millie can no longer attend the carpet or discussion,” while David’s absence was “due to scheduling conflicts.”
