Atlanta Falcons at San Francisco 49ers preview
The 49ers had a tough time in their defeat to the Buccaneers last week, losing key linebacker Fred Warner to a serious injury while back-up QB Mac Jones threw two interceptions. But they were still competitive for most of the contest and outgained the Bucs 363 yards to 352.
Help is on the way for the 49ers as tight end George Kittle is set to return this week, although starting QB Brock Purdy and wide receiver Ricky Pearsall have been ruled out again.
The Falcons were excellent against the Bills and they exposed Buffalo’s weakness against the run through their running back duo of Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier, but the 49ers are more sturdy on that front, ranking 12th in the league for yards conceded per carry allowed.
The 49ers defence can play a part in getting the team back on track after two defeats in their last three games.
