Rogers Centre hotel prices cost less than some resale tickets for Game 6 of the ALCS

If you couldn’t catch a ticket to the American League Championship Series (ALCS) game in Toronto on Sunday, Blue Jays fans could still get prime seats at the stadium at the park’s hotel — for more than $3,000 a night or roughly the cost of some resale tickets.
The Toronto Marriott City Centre released the final group of field view rooms and suites for the ALCS after the Jays clinched an 8-2 win over the Seattle Mariners on Thursday night. This means the best-of-seven series will return to Toronto for Game 6 on Sunday.
Regular tickets for Sunday’s game have long sold out, but there are resale tickets up for grabs on Ticketmaster. Resale prices for the 500-level start at roughly $392 per seat and climb to around $7,390 for a seat in the TD Lounge, located behind the pitching mound on the field.
A room at this Marriott, however, can fit at least five people and starts around $3,243 per night for Marriott Bonvoy members ($3,309 for those who are not).

The same room — with one king-sized bed overlooking the stadium — on Friday night currently costs $382. Though, obviously, the Jays are not playing at Rogers Centre tonight.
The costliest room — a premium large one-bedroom suite — went for $4,814 (and appeared to have already been booked at the time of publication).
“We’ve seen a ton of interest, they book up quickly and I get why,” general manager of the Toronto Marriott City Centre Ryan Soderberg said in a statement. “Each room fits up to five people and honestly, it’s a bucket list experience.”
While the starting cost split five ways still costs more than $600 per person, it could be another way to gain entry to a Jays postseason game without turning to the resale market.
“The windows open, so you’re literally inside the ballpark, but you’ve got room service, instant replays, private washrooms — it’s all the perks you’d never expect in a setup like this. And the best part? You don’t even need tickets.”
The hotel says rooms are fully refundable if the series win is clinched early.
