One Stop staff take on eight mountain climbs for BBC Children in Need

This September, colleagues from One Stop took on the intense Oggie 8 charity challenge across the eight Ogwen Valley Mountains in Snowdonia.
In total, 163 trekkers took part in the twelve-hour Welsh hike, with 62 of those being One Stop colleagues from different departments around the business. They raised an enormous £50,000 (and counting) for the convenience retailers charity partner, BBC Children in Need. They climbed the eight peaks during harsh weather conditions, with each peak reaching an altitude of 3,000ft.
BBC Children in Need – a charity partner of One Stop for 13 years – support children and young people carrying a load that’s too heavy to manage alone. Money raised helps the charity be there for hundreds of thousands of children across the UK when they need us most.
Claire Hoyle, chief campaigns and engagement officer at BBC Children in Need, said: “One Stop colleagues and customers always go above and beyond for the charity, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone who took part. At a time when children and young people across the UK need us most, we are enormously thankful to all One Stop colleagues and customers for their brilliant support!”
Jack Taylor, community and partnerships manager at One Stop, added: “Our colleagues are very passionate about raising money for BBC Children in Need and this challenge shows their dedication. The Oggie 8 is very tough – they trained and prepared for weeks and months in advance and we’re all so proud their endurance and achievements.”
