MAFS UK couple spark chaos at dinner party as star issues apology

Married at First Sight UK stars Julia-Ruth and Divarni have continued to be the hot topic of conversation due to their rocky marriage

Another drama-filled instalment of Married at First Sight UK broadcast on Monday (20 October), with the couples beginning to progress further in their relationships.

Whilst numerous partnerships appear to be heading in a positive direction, Julia-Ruth and Divarni’s union has remained under scrutiny throughout the experiment, leaving many viewers puzzled by Julia-Ruth’s behaviour.

During Monday’s programme, Julia-Ruth and Divarni left their fellow participants speechless when they entered the dinner party holding hands, despite most assuming their relationship had concluded.

Upon their arrival, Bailey confessed he was “baffled” by the pair’s joint appearance, particularly given Julia-Ruth’s repeated admissions that she lacks physical attraction to her spouse.

The duo settled onto a sofa amongst their co-stars, though the atmosphere remained tense as Grace declared: “Surprised to see you guys here together.”

Julia-Ruth replied: “We had a bit of a week, didn’t we?” before Divarni chimed in: “Definitely. [We] celebrated yesterday, our one month anniversary.”

His remark left the group astounded, prompting Grace to respond sarcastically: “Cool! That makes sense!”

Leigh demanded they “go back to the beginning of the week” as the group pressed Julia-Ruth for explanations, leading her to offer apologies to her husband whilst trying to defend her recent conduct.

The evening was fraught with tension, exacerbated by Julia-Ruth’s admission of her attraction to Steven, despite his marriage to Nelly, reports OK!.

Viewers at home were left exasperated with Julia-Ruth and Divarni, taking to social media to voice their opinions. One person exclaimed: “I am SCREAMING at how awkward this is #MAFSUK.”

Another commented: “Davide needs to call out Julia Ruth’s actions. #mafsuk,” while another viewer noted: “The fact that the other couples are just as miffed at Divarni and Julia-Ruth as we all are… #MAFSUK.”

In other MAFS news from Monday, Maeve found herself in a dilemma over Joe, who missed the dinner party due to a family funeral. The pair had met the previous day, but Joe remained non-committal about their future.

During the dinner party, an emotional Maeve confessed to feeling “mugged” off and wrestled with what steps to take next concerning her marriage.

Married at First Sight UK airs on E4 from Sunday until Thursday every week.
