Ivana Trump, Donald Trump’s first wife, once revealed that she had no issues with Melania Trump but was not fond of his second wife, Marla Maples.
In an interview with CBS’s Sunday Morning, Ivana referred to Marla as “nobody” and emphasized Melania’s role as the First Lady. “One is a nobody, the other is First Lady,” she said, making it clear whom she respected.

Ivana and Donald Trump began dating in the 1970s and became a high-profile couple in New York. Their relationship lasted until the 1990s, when Donald’s affair with Marla Maples led to a bitter divorce.
Ivana avoided discussing Marla in detail, calling her “a showgirl” and stating that she had never accomplished anything significant in life.

Ivana said that Donald had many options due to his high-profile lifestyle. “Donald would get 1,000 business cards in his pocket every night. He could choose any girl he wanted to have so,” she said.
She said that women often approached him first and that his actions were not the main issue. Despite the divorce, Ivana and Trump co-parented their three children, who later appeared with him during his first presidential campaign, a source of pride for Ivana.
Ivana passed away in 2022 at the age of 73. Trump spoke warmly of her at her funeral, praising her resilience and dedication. He said, “She never gave up” and “took nothing for granted,” acknowledging the role she played in their family and his life.
