CPKC Holiday Train comes to Waterloo Region at end of November

It’s never too early for a little holiday tradition.

The 2025 CPKC Holiday Train has announced its schedule and line-up of performers for this year and some local talent will be featured.

The brightly decorated and illuminated train will rumble into the region on the evening of November 21st.

It’s first stop will be 10 Malcolm St. in Cambridge. That’s the Galt train station, across the street from Galt Collegiate.

The train will arrive at 4:15 p.m. and depart by 4:45 p.m. It will then make its next stop in Ayr at the Inglis and Willison street rail crossing at 5:30 p.m.

The headline performer for both stops will be radio favourite’s, Smash Mouth.

Kitchener’s own JJ Wilde will also be performing at both stops.

Aside from spreading holiday cheer, the CPKC Holiday Train’s main mission is to collect donations for local food banks. All donations stay in the communities where they were made.

All those planning to attend are encouraged to bring a monetary donation or a heart-healthy food donation.

Since the Holiday Train first started rolling back in 1999, the initiative has raised more than $26 million and around 5.4 million pounds of food for community food banks in Canada and the U.S.
