Palmetto Sports & Entertainment Network to simulcast Hornets’ home opener

CHARLOTTE, NC (WMBF) – Excitement is building as the beginning of the 2025-2026 NBA season nears tipoff.

Also exciting is the fact that Palmetto Sports & Entertainment Network will simulcast the Charlotte Hornets’ home opener against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The FanDuel Sports Network is producing the game, and coverage starts at 6:30 p.m. with the Hornets LIVE pregame show.

You can game all the action on Palmetto Sports, WMBF 32.3. It can also be found on HTC channel 82 and Spectrum streaming channel 2684.

“Gray’s Carolina broadcast television stations – including the Palmetto Sports & Entertainment Network – appreciate the opportunity to join again with the Hornets and FanDuel Sports Network to serve their fans and our viewers,” Gray Media Chief Operating Officer Sandy Breland said. “We know that viewers will enjoy the opener free, over-the-air.”

According to a news release from the Hornets, this is the second consecutive season select Hornets games have been available for fans to watch on local over-the-air television.

“We remain committed to enhancing the fan experience and expanding the reach of our broadcasts, while continuing to strengthen our connection with our passionate Hornets fans,” Hornets President of Business Operations Shelly Cayette-Weston said.

The Hornets’ full 2025-26 simulcast over-the-air schedule will be released at a later date.

Cox Media Group’s WSOC-TV Channel 9 is also involved in the partnership and will simulcast the game in the Charlotte region.
