Frontier Developments have launched Jurassic World Evolution 3 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S ($59.99). The third game in the dino sim series adds baby dinos and a dinosaur breeding system on top of more robust creative tools.
Jurassic World Evolution 3 is a park sim where players create their own dinosaur theme park, or nature preserve, or anything in between. It features over 85 prehistoric species, most of which can breed and showcase new juvenile versions. Parents can pass along traits to their offspring, and it wouldn’t be a Jurassic title without a little genetic tampering. Male and female dinosaurs also showcase dimorphism, and feature advanced social behaviors and interactions.
The park sim features three game modes: Campaign, Challenge, and Sandbox.
Campaign features the return of Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm (narrating the new launch trailer above!), who helps guide the players across a variety of areas around the world to ensure dinosaurs can live safely and peacefully. As Park Managers, players will fulfill different tasks and unlock new technology while fending off nefarious forces and balancing the checkbook.
Challenge tasks players with completing time-based scenarios using the locations featured in the campaign. Completing these levels will unlock new scenery pieces.
Finally there’s Sandbox mode, letting players developer and design their own theme park from a variety of map options and limitations (or lack thereof). For the first time, players can also generate a fully custom map with the new Island Generator.
Construction and terraforming have also improved, creating more vertical spaces and custom blueprints. Players can share their creations, from buildings to enclosures to entire parks, across platforms via the Frontier Workshop.
Jurassic World Evolution 3 is available in Standard and Deluxe editions, and rated E10+. The Deluxe Edition ($74.99) includes four more dinosaurs species: Protoceratops, Guanlong, Thanatosdrakon, and Concavenator, plus some scenery pieces and ATV skins.
