Dunnes issue recall on €2 baby product as parents warned of finger injury risk ‘leading to a loss of function’

Parents are being urged to return an item for babies sold at Dunnes as the retailer issued a recall due to a potential injury risk.
The popular Irish store has recalled pairs of mittens for boys and girls aged six months to three years after a safety issue regarding the product was brought to their attention.

The recall applies to the 2PK Baby Girls Mittens and 2PK Baby Boys Mittens in the sizes 6-12 months and 1-3 years which were sold for €2 in stores and online.
Dunnes explain: ‘Due to the presence of long threads, there is a risk of injury to finger leading to a loss of function. We are issuing a product recall notice in respect of this product.’

The style number for the girls mittens is 6242605 and for the boys is 6243709.
Customers who purchased these items or received them as a gift can return it to their local store for a full refund.
