EXCLUSIVE: EastEnders’ Tameka Empson teases drama for Kim Fox and Howie, but claimed “the joy will come back” after she said her onscreen man had been a “naughty boy”

EastEnders star Tameka Empson has teased fans that “the joy will come back” for her character Kim Fox — even after a dramatic and turbulent storyline with Howie Dane that has kept viewers hooked.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star at the Pride of Britain Awards on Monday (October 20), the Celebrity Traitors star gave a hint of hope for Kim’s relationship.
“The joy will come back!” she said with a smile. Before adding with a mischievous grin: “Howie’s been a naughty boy but the joy will come back.”
This week on EastEnders, Kim and Howie are facing significant challenges that could jeopardize their relationship. Howie has been keeping a major secret from Kim, which has left her feeling betrayed and uncertain about their future together.

Away from Albert Square, Tameka has also been tackling a different kind of drama with her early exit from Celebrity Traitors. Despite leaving the BBC reality series sooner than expected, she described the experience as unforgettable.
“It’s a little bit sore, but I will be watching the rest of the series,” she admitted, showing she remains invested in the drama even after her departure.
Tameka also revealed the surprisingly luxurious accommodation provided for the cast. “We have our own lodges, they were very nice, they are a bit of a drive away from the Castle, I didn’t count the minutes how long but it was a lovely time away from home,” she said, nodding when asked if they were on the “fancy” side.

Despite the comforts, she admitted she approached filming with a hands-off attitude. “They just told me where to go and I went, I didn’t ask any questions,” she said.
Now, watching the series from home gives Tameka a fresh perspective. “I don’t know the end so I will watch it like everyone else without the knot in my stomach this time,” she added.
